 Lecturer and Student Exchange Program with Khon Kaen University, Thailand |
The program of Student Exchange and Lecturer between Khon Kaen University with Nurse Study Program, Faculty of Health Science (FIKES), University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is one implementation of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed a year ago. While the activity will be conducted especially for staff/lecturer exchange program is more about sharing experience, therefore various discussion about management and academic development, student affair and international relationship that was conducted since 21 to 27 April. In the opportunity of staff exchange, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University of Thailand sent 2 ambassadors are; Mr. Tipayakai Perunavin who also as the representative of Academic and International Affair, while Miss. Plabpluong Uppapong is staff who representative of Students Affair. While 4 students representatives Faculty of Nursing, KKU are: Miss Usanee Boonyamat, Miss Tararat Rakputta, Miss Kamonthip Jantalam and Miss Tikumporn Pentrakool. Student exchange activities begins from April 21 to May 17 2014 focused on the development of academic skill to understand and learn the management of national health system both in Indonesia and Thailand, introduction of culture, also ability development in giving of nursing care in the area of medical surgical nursing based on Transcultural of Nursing that will be valuable experience for both institution and student to face the competition in world of nursing in global scale.
The various agenda has been arranged for success and achievement of this program competition so far run as well as and smoothly, there are various visits to learn the management of health system in Indonesia, such as visit to health centers and one of Posyandu in work place of Dinoyo Health Center, visit to traditional medicine (Bekam), also the practice of nursing care of surgical medical in the scope of family that will be facilitated by Matahari Homecare which is one of community service project which is owned by FIKES UMM, the practice of nursing care of surgical medical in various education hospitals there are UMM hospital and Syaiful Anwar Hospital Malang, also various sharing culture agenda.Lecturer and student exchange program with Kaen University, Thailand is led by Nursing Department FIKES University of Muhammadiyah Malang also as preparation agenda for lecturer and student before they will be sent back to Khon Kaen University, Thailand next period as the ambassador of FIKES UMM to learn various leading programs that owned by Khon Kaen University, Thailand.
